Tithing is giving 10% of your earnings to Jesus. Giving to God a part
of what He has blessed you with is one way to show Him His importance
in your life.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My
house, and try Me now in this,' says the Lord of hosts, 'If I will not
open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing
that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the
devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your
ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,'
says the Lord of hosts."
Luke 16:10-11"He who
is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is
unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore, if you have
not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your
trust the true riches?"
Philippians 4:19"My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
2 Corinthians 9:7"
As every man has decided in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly
or out of compulsion; for God loves the cheerful giver."
You are encouraged to tithe regularly. In fact, if you are reluctant
to tithe, our pastor has an opportunity for you. If you try tithing for a
month and do not agree that it has been a blessing, any tithes that you
have given to Southcliff will be returned to you. Contact our pastor to
learn more at firstname.lastname@example.org.
