Budget Specific Finances for Global Missions

In addition to the ministries of the local church, there are ministries throughout the world to financially support. You may not be able to physically participate in the ministries that God is working through around the world, but you can participate in financing them by setting aside a specific amount in your financial budget to support them.

Scripture:

Philippians 4:15-16
“You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.”

Details:

• Tithe to the local church. A portion of the church’s receipts is used to support Global Ministries.
• Be aware of special giving opportunities for specific Global Ministries. At Christmas there is a special offering that benefits International Missions.
• Budget and set aside funds throughout the year so you will have money ready to give for global causes as God prompts.
• Consider giving memorial or honorarium gifts to a Global Ministry in the name of a friend or family member.
