Confess Your Sins
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. - 1 John 1:9
God created you for a purpose. “Sin" means "missing the mark" and
keeps us from God's purpose for our lives. When we deceive others, when
we are a slave to our desires, when we are obsessed with material
things—these things separate us from God.
Before we can enter into a healthy relationship with God, we must
deal with the problem of sin. What God expects of us is repentance.
When we repent, we turn from our sins with a desire to live a godly
life. We agree with God that sin is a debt to a holy God and that we
need his mercy.
Have Faith in Jesus
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Christ Jesus. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. - Romans 3: 22
There are many religions in this world. Most of them offer a
brighter future to their followers if they obey their rules and follow
their practices. Jesus did not come to establish a religion—God had
bigger plans.
Jesus was God’s unique Son. He lived a perfect life, and then died
as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus took our death penalty in our
place. When Jesus rose from the dead, he demonstrated that he had the
power to give us eternal life. By placing our faith in the person of
Jesus, rather than a religion, we can be forgiven our sins.
Accept Gods Forgiveness
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. - Ephesians 2: 8
There are some people who have read the Bible and understand that
Jesus died for our sins—yet they have not personally accepted God’s gift
of forgiveness. Salvation does not come by doing things for God. It
is a free gift to us, made available to us when we repent of our sins
and place our faith in Jesus Christ as our only means of salvation.
New Way of Living
He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will life for Christ, who died and raised for them. - 2 Corinthians 5: 15
When you give your life to Jesus, your priorities change. Instead of
focusing on your own needs, you begin to make decisions based on what
God would have you do. God’s word and his Holy Spirit guide you to a
lifestyle that gives glory to Jesus.
Go Tell Others
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:18-20
It is often said that faith is a “private matter.” Actually, Jesus
told his followers the opposite—faith is actually a public matter. Not
only that, God wants us to actively seek out those who need to know the
love of Jesus. Our task is to cross geographical and cultural
boundaries in order to tell as many people as we can this “good news.”
Not only that, but we are challenged to invest in the lives of those
who respond to this message.
Eternal Life
I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. - 1 John 5:13
Scripture tell us that this “Life Change” is not only connected to
our earthly lives. Those who belong to Jesus will spend eternity in
Heaven with him. Heaven is not a reward for good works. It is simply
the home to those who belong to the eternal God.
What about you? Have you ever placed your faith in Jesus and experienced this “Life Change?”
If not, you can become a follower of Christ today. Spend some time in prayer to God.
Confess your sins to him. Tell God that you believe that Jesus died
for your sins and then was brought back to life. Ask him to forgive
you. Accept that forgiveness and commit to living for God publically
and passionately.
