Have Spiritual Conversation with Others

            Definitions:
God
has called believers to be witnesses for Christ. As you witness, you
will realize that some people are not yet willing to respond to the
gospel. Before they are ready to hear the gospel and give their lives to
Jesus, they need to begin thinking about spiritual things and develop a
hunger and thirst for God. To help make that happen, the Bible teaches
that God wants you to faithfully share the gospel wherever you are. As
you go about witnessing, it is helpful to be prepared to share in the
most effective way. For example, being pushy or harsh or screaming
"Repent" on the street corner might not be the best ways to share.  A
more positive approach would be to ask questions as you witness. Just
like salt makes a person thirsty for water, followers of Jesus should
help people become thirsty for God, and this often happens by asking
them deep, thoughtful questions. Try asking them what they believe about
Heaven, death, sin, God, and the meaning of life, and then just let
them talk.
Scripture:
Matthew 5:13
“You
are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can
it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be
 thrown out and trampled underfoot.”
Details:
Pray
that God gives you names of people and opportunities to have spiritual
conversations with them. Allow these conversations to begin simply.
Don’t force them to go longer than needed.Determine a non-threatening,
opening question that will help begin a conversation. Some suggested
questions:
- What do you think about God?
- What do you think God thinks about you?
- How is God working in your life?
- What are the things you pray about?
