Develop A Calendar

As you grow as a Christian, it is important to make time choices that honor God.  Making time commitments to Him and His work is just like budgeting money in order to best honor God. A calendar will help you budget your time wisely so you can grow in Christ.

Scripture:

John 9:4
"We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work."

Ephesians 5:16 -18
"Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.  So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

Details:

• Use a calendar to schedule your life. Use either a paper calendar, an organizer, or an electronic version to manage your time.
• Schedule time for God.
• Plan your week by entering a time to worship God each Sunday. Place the time on your calendar as an appointment.
• Schedule your prayer time with God. Don’t let other things interfere. Keep the appointment.
• Schedule time for a weekly Grow Group. Keep that time commitment.
• Schedule family time for spiritual development. Spend regularly scheduled time together.
