Prayer is communication with God. It is both talking to God and
listening to God speak. A daily discipline of prayer allows you to
commune with God. He desires to have a relationship with you. As you
learn to talk to and listen to God, that relationship deepens.

Check out an online prayer app. Try a couple to determine if one of them helps you in directed prayer. Echo Prayer and First 15 are examples. Try keeping a prayer journal of answered prayers.
Keeping a simple list of what you are praying about and then recording
when and how God answers can be a meaningful tool.
