Traveling to Italy during a Pandemic
We realize that training internationally during a pandemic involves a high amount of flexibility as the requirements may change.
For up to date information about entering Italy, visit untolditaly.com/can-you-travel-to-Italy
For up to date information about travel back to the US, please visit travel.state.gov
As of this writing, Italy requires:
· Have a minimum of 3 months validity on your passport
· Proof of 2 doses of an EU approved covid-19 vaccine (within 9 months) NOTE: The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is not approved by the EU.
OR 2 doses of approved covid-19 vaccine plus booster (no time limit applies)
OR proof of recovery from covid-19 within 180 days OR proof of negative covid test via molecular / PCR test within 72 hours
OR proof of negative covid test via rapid antigen test within 48 hours.
· If the above proof cannot be provided then a 5 day quarantine applies at your own expense
· The above applies to travelers aged 6 and over. Children under 6 years old are not required to be tested
· All passengers must complete the EU digital Passenger Locator Form (app.euplf.eu)
As of this writing, the U.S. requirements for reentry are as follows:
When you travel to the United States by air, you are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before you board your flight.
We will be working as a team and will not be able to socially distance as we travel, stay in rooms, etc. In addition to this, it is the expectation of our hosts in Italy that we bring a team that is vaccinated against COVID-19.
We are asking everyone participating in Southcliff's 2022 International Mission Trips to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.*
We want to do everything possible to prevent the spread of this disease among our team members, partners, or people we serve.
Please bring a copy your proof of vaccination card to the church office by July 10.
We also recognize that an outbreak of COVID-19 might result in the quarantine of some or all members of our team in Italy. This is a risk you need to be aware of.
* The CDC definition of “fully vaccinated” does not include a booster.
