What is Share Week?

Southcliff's Share Strategy exists to help you share the love and message of Jesus with the world.

Share Week provides opportunities and training events every day for individuals and families to connect Southcliff to our community.

OUR GOAL: EVERYONE PARTICIPATE IN AT LEAST ONE ACTIVITY

Sunday, October 18

SHARE SUNDAY

9:30AM and 11:00AM

Rev. James Thomas will preach and Sky Thomas will sing in both services.

James and Sky are our SHARE PARTNERS in New Orleans where James pastor's E.P.I.C. Church. We have worked alongside them many times in NOLA. We are excited to host them for our "Share Sunday."

SHARE SEMINAR:

WHAT ARE SHARE PARTNERS?

12:15 PM until 1:30 pm

Dr. Stu Cocanougher will give an explanation of our "Share Partners." Who are they? How are they chosen? How are they funded?

We will feature brief presentations by two Share Partners:

MEALS ON WHEELS: Southcliff's own Nedra Cutler will introduce you to local volunteer opportunities with this vital ministry.

CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP, SERBIA: Serbian missionaries Vilijam and Tabita will share about their exciting ministry in Eastern Europe.

The entire family is invited. Sign up at the Share Center to let us know about how many to expect for lunch.

Monday, October 19

BEAUTIFUL FEET

HOMELESS MINISTRY

7:30 AM until 12:45 PM

Meet at the church at 7:20 AM to leave by 7:30 AM for Beautiful Feet Ministries at 1709 E Hattie St.

We will serve meals, greet guests, sort clothes, pray together, and spend time with some of Fort Worth's most undervalued residents.

Please wear pants (or modest skirt) and close-toed shoes (no shorts).

We will return to Southcliff before 1:00 PM.

APARTMENT GIFT BAG OUTREACH

5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Individuals and families meet in the Southcliff Foyer by 5:30 PM in order to assemble gift bags. We will walk across the street to place gift bags with invitations on our neighbor's doors at the Haye's Apartments.

We will return to the church by 6:30 PM in for a prayer time and a free dinner (Fried Chicken). We should finish by 7:00 PM.

Tuesday, October 20

Prayer Walk TCU

5:45 PM - 8:15 PM

Meet in the Southcliff Foyer by 5:40 PM. Leave at 5:45 PM to take our buses to the Baptist Student Ministries building at Texas Christian University (2713 Wabash Ave.). You may also choose to meet us at TCU BSM at 6:00 PM.

After we hear about the varies ministries of Horned Frog BSM, we will divide up in teams along with TCU students to "Prayer Walk" the TCU Campus.

Afterwards, we will meet at Dutch's Hamburgers (bring $$ for dinner). We plan on returning to Southcliff by 8:15 PM.

Wednesday, October 21

Serve Lunch at Texas Wesleyan University

10:45 AM - 2:00 PM

Meet in the Southcliff Foyer at 10:40 AM in order to leave Southcliff at 10:45 AM. We will take our buses to the Texas Wesleyan BSM in order to serve a Free Pizza Lunch to students. Some will serve while others will sit with students.

Please bring cookies to share (store bought or homemade).

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

OPPORTUNITIES

PASTOR'S CLASS:

MISSIONS IN EUROPE

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Adults are invited to our Fellowship Hall in order to hear from former Missionaries to Germany about what Southern Baptists are doing in Europe. Don't miss this exciting time of testimonies and prayer. RSVP not needed.

SOUTHCLIFF STUDENTS:

EVERYDAY EVANGELISM

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Students in grades 6-12 will meet in the Annex for a special night focused on learning to share our faith in a natural, authentic way.

KID CONNECTION:

MISSIONS IN JAPAN

6:30 PM to 7:45 PM

Children will have the opportunity to hear about missionary efforts in Japan before going to their Grow Groups.

Thursday, October 22

Food Sorting at the Tarrant Area Food Bank

8:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Volunteers are needed to sort donated food items at the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Meet at the Southcliff Foyer at 8:20 AM in order to leave on our buses at 8:30 AM. We will travel to the main TAFB location (2600 Cullen St) where we will sort food from 9:00 AM until Noon.

At Noon, we will travel to Ol' South Pancake House (bring $$ for lunch). We plan on returning to Southcliff by 1:30 PM.

We have a limit of 20 volunteers. Please sign up ASAP.

ESL TEST DRIVE

6:15 PM until 8:00 PM
Southcliff's English as a Second Language (ESL) program is one of our most impactful ministries. Each week, over 100 adults and children from a variety of backgrounds come to our campus to learn English and for friendships.

We need volunteer for adult classes, testing, registration, food service, and children's ministry.

Adults and teens are invited to "test drive" volunteering at ESL. We will give you a quick tour then find a place for you to volunteer for the evening.

Friday, October 23

Benbroook YMCA Trunk or Treat

5:30 to 7:00 PM (Shift One)

6:45 to 8:15 PM (Shift Two)

Once again, we have the opportunity to invite hundreds of families at community Halloween events. The first of these is the Trunk or Treat at the Benbrook YMCA (1899 Winscott Rd.).

Volunteers are needed to sign up for one of two shifts to meet families, hand out candy and Southcliff information, and host a giant slide. This is a valuable opportunity to serve families in our community and let them know that they are invited to Southcliff.

Saturday, October24

ALL AGES ACTIVITY:

Texans on Mission 'First Step' Kits

11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Adults and Families are invited to a fun and meaninful activity as we assemble hygiene kits that will be used by disaster relief teams.

We will gather in the Fellowship Hall at 11:00 AM for a brief orientation followed by a missional assembly line. We will place essential hygiene items in bags to create "First Step Kits." We will take a break at Noon for lunch (provided) and an presentation about the ministry of Texans on Mission (formerly "Texas Baptist Men").

Afterwards we will continue to stuff bags and write encouraging notes.

This is an all ages event, so feel free to bring kids / teens.
