CHRISTMAS IS A TIME FOR GIVING
BELOW ARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO SHARE
THE LOVE AND MESSAGE OF JESUS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Christmas at Southcliff Offering
Now through December 8
Southcliff's Worship Ministry will be presenting “Christmas at
Southcliff: Christmas Around the World” as a free gift to our community.
Pick up a “Christmas at Southcliff” offering
envelope at the information center or in the pews. You can make a financial gift through December 8. These funds
will go to the many expenses that are incurred in presenting a high-quality
production. You may also give online at southcliff.com/give.
Angel Tree
Now through December8
You can be a Christmas blessing to one of the
1.7 million children in the U.S. that will celebrate Christmas with a parent in
prison.
Angel
Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship, which was founded by Chuck Colson. Angel Tree began when a former inmate, Mary Kay Beard, realized that many children of
inmates spend Christmas away from their moms and dads. She knew that the holidays can be a sad time
for these boys and girls.
You
can visit our “Angel Tree” at the Share Engagement Center and pick up a “wish
list” to provide presents for children of incarcerated parents. You then shop for these gifts, wrap them, and
bring them to Southcliff by Sunday, Dec. 8.
You
can volunteer to help sort the gifts on Monday, December 9, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM (Fellowship Hall).
Volunteers
are also needed to distribute gifts to parents on Saturday, Dec. 14 (10:00 AM – Noon) in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Nathan or Terri Benke if you
have any questions about Angel Tree.
Week of Prayer for International
Missions
December 1-8
This year’s Week of Prayer for
International Missions will be observed Dec. 1-8. In this season, Southern
Baptists are encouraged to consider the power of "The Great Pursuit" of reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International
Missions
December 1 -January 5
Southern Baptist Missionaries are
reliant on this annual Christmas offering in order to engage in global
evangelism and church planting. You are a
part of sending 3,521 missionaries across the globe. Last year, they were able to engage 67 new
people groups and saw 178,177 people come to Christ.
This offering is named after Lottie Moon, a pioneer missionary in China in the early 20th Century. Her persistence to raise funds for struggling
missionaries is carried on through this yearly emphasis.
There are many ways to give a gift to Southcliff’s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. You may pick up an offering envelope at the
Share Engagement Center. You may also
give online via southcliff.com/give. Select “Christmas Intl. Missions.”
