Southcliff Quilting Ministry meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in room E124.  Bring your sewing machine and learn from the best teachers.  Join as a beginner and have fun. Come as an expert and share your ideas. Quilts are given to our Share Partner Ft Worth Pregnancy Center for the new moms and babies.

Dr. Stu Cocanougher will give an explanation of our "Share Partners." Who are they? How are they chosen?  How are they funded?

We will feature brief presentations by two Share Partners:

MEALS ON WHEELS:  Southcliff's own Nedra Cutler will introduce you to local volunteer opportunities with this vital ministry.

CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP, SERBIA: Serbian missionaries Vilijam and Tabita will share about their exciting ministry in Eastern Europe.

The entire family is invited.  Sign up at the Share Center to let us know about how many to expect for lunch.

You are invited to serve meals, greet guests, sort clothes, pray together, and spend time with some of Fort Worth's most undervalued residents.

Volunteers will meet at the church at 7:20 AM to leave by 7:30 AM for Beautiful Feet Ministries at 1709 E Hattie St. 

Please wear pants (or modest skirt) and close-toed shoes (no shorts).

We will return to Southcliff before 1:00 PM.

Individuals and families are invited to meet in the Southcliff Foyer by 5:30 PM in order to assemble gift bags.  We will walk across the street to place gift bags with invitations on our neighbors' doors at the Hayes Apartments.

We will return to the church by 6:30 PM in for a prayer time and a free dinner (Fried Chicken).  We should finish by 7:00 PM.

Individuals and families of all ages are invited to participate in a Prayer Walk on the TCU Campus in partnership with the Baptist Student Ministry. We will leave from Southcliff at 5:45 PM and head to the Baptist Student Ministries building at Texas Christian University  (2713 Wabash Ave.).  You may also choose to meet us at TCU BSM at 6:00 PM.

Afterwards, we will meet at Dutch's Hamburgers (bring $$ for dinner).  We plan on returning to Southcliff by 8:15 PM.

Volunteers are invited to help serve a free pizza lunch to students at the Texas Wesleyan BSM. We will leave from Southcliff at 10:45 AM and head to the Texas Wesleyan campus.   Some of us will serve while others will sit with students.

Please bring cookies to share (store bought or homemade).

Volunteers are needed to sort donated food items at the Tarrant Area Food Bank. We will meet at the Southcliff Foyer at 8:20 AM in order to leave on our buses at 8:30 AM.  We will travel to the main TAFB location (2600 Cullen St) where we will sort food from 9:00 AM until Noon.  

At Noon, we will travel to Ol' South Pancake House (bring $$ for lunch).  We plan on returning to Southcliff by 1:30 PM.

We have a limit of 20 volunteers.  Please sign up ASAP.

Southcliff's English as a Second Language (ESL) program is one of our most impactful ministries.  Each week, over 100 adults and children from a variety of backgrounds come to our campus to learn English and for friendships.

We need volunteers for adult classes, testing, registration, food service, and children's ministry.

Adults and teens are invited to "test drive" volunteering at ESL.  Volunteers will meet in the Fellowship Hall by 6:15 PM. We will give you a quick tour then find a place for you to volunteer for the evening.

5:30 to 7:00 PM (Shift One)

6:45 to 8:15 PM (Shift Two)

Once again, we have the opportunity to invite hundreds of families at community Halloween events.  The first of these is the Trunk or Treat at the Benbrook YMCA (1899 Winscott Rd).  

Volunteers are needed to sign up for one of two shifts to meet families, hand out candy and Southcliff information, and host a giant slide.  This is a valuable opportunity to serve families in our community and let them know that they are invited to Southcliff.

Adults and Families of all ages are invited to a fun and meaningful activity as we assemble hygiene kits that will be used by disaster relief teams.

We will gather in the Fellowship Hall at 11:00 AM for a brief orientation followed by a missional assembly line.  We will place essential hygiene items in bags to create "First Step Kits."  We will take a break at Noon for lunch (provided) and an presentation about the ministry of Texans on Mission (formerly "Texas Baptist Men").  

Afterwards we will continue to stuff bags and write encouraging notes.

Eight adult volunteers are needed for a Halloween Outreach in the Summer Creek neighborhood from 5:00 PM until 8:30 PM.  

Those who sign up will be personally contacted about the event on Saturday, October 24 in Summer Creek.

Mom's, Let's Talk: Moms, we know that you are already talking to your kids a lot, but are you talking to them about the topics they need to hear the most? How do you know what to say, and when and how to say it?
Presented by Gather Moms, Moms, Let’s Talk is a faith-based study presenting help for some of the most challenging conversations moms are up against. Topics that are very timely for our current culture such as gender identity, screens, emotions, trauma, and faith. We know that these can be difficult and sensitive to discuss, so we want to equip you to navigate these topics with wisdom, love, and grace.
