Members of Southcliff Baptist Church are asked to nominate qualified men for consideration to the office of "deacon." This is an official nomination form.
The men that are nominated must be members of Southcliff for a minimum of one (1) year to be considered.
"The church shall seek men who are full of The Holy Spirit and wisdom, who are honorable servants of God, and who seek to conform their lives to the teaching of the New Testament as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:8-13."
A deacon examination committee has been elected by the deacon body. They will review and examine the nominations and will make their recommendations to the deacon body.
Candidates will be presented to the church for election. Ordination of these men will take place following an Ordaining Council.
