Thrive Pathway Activity 68

Celebrate Communion With Believers On Your Own

The Lord’s Supper is a time of remembering that Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice to save you from your sins and to give you eternal life.  You are encouraged to take part in the Lord’s Supper with your church family whenever possible.

Scripture:

1 Corinthians 11:25-26
"In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.”

Details:

  • Celebrating the Lord’s supper with your church family to remember what Jesus did for you on the cross and for His victory over sin and death is something you and all believers should do.
  • Participating in the Lord's Supper gives you a time to confess your sin and repent before taking the juice and the bread, as you thank Jesus for His great sacrifice for you.
  • Taking the Lord’s Supper with your church family reminds you that Jesus died for all and allows everyone to remember this together.
  • Observing the Lord's Supper shows others, including your family and friends, that you are committed to Christ.
