Definition:
Worship is loving God with everything you have: all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Scripture:
Mark 12:29-31 (New American Bible) (when asked what is the most important commandment)
Jesus replied,"The first is this: 'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 (concerning worshipping together)
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more, as you see the Day (Jesus’ return) approaching."

At Southcliff, people of all generations and backgrounds worship together in the worship center each Sunday morning at 9:20 AM and 11:00 AM. In addition, other worship opportunities are provided, including:

  • Discovery Lane: worship time designed for preschoolers at 9:20 AM and 11:00 AM on Sunday.

  • Kid Connection: worship time designed for Kindergarten-4th graders at 9:20 AM and 11:00 AM on Sunday. When you decide the time is right to help your children transition into the main service, you are more than welcome to have them with you during either of the services in the worship center. Until that time, teachers are prepared for children to be in Kid Connection for both worship services, with different activities, music, and teaching presented each hour.

  • Uplink - Students in 5th- 6th grades... When Uplink meets at the 9:20 service and on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM there are times of worship and those who attend the 11:00 AM service on Sunday join their families in the main auditorium.

  • Students in 7th-12th grades: When students are together on Sundays at 9:20 AM and on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM worship together in their areas. Then on Sunday at the 11:00 AM students attended with families and friends in the main auditorium.

In order to thrive, you are encouraged to attend and participate in worship with your Southcliff family each week!
