Preschool Ministry (Birth-Pre K)

The Preschool Ministry of Southcliff believes that children can learn at any age, and no scheduled time is ever just childcare. We are in the business of cultivating a fertile heart for the gospel message of Christ Jesus to take root in and grow into a thriving Christ Follower. At Southcliff, you will find a safe, friendly, and fun environment in which your child can learn about the love of God.
Sunday Mornings at Discovery Land are fun times. Your child will encounter engaging Bible based instruction and loving interaction with caring adults. In large group time the children will experience Bible stories, games, songs, and video all designed to reinforce the main idea for the morning. In small group the children will connect with caring adults who love them and will focus on life application of biblical truths.
The Cubbies program is offered on Wednesday evenings during the school year. The Cubbies program is a part of AWANAs which teaches children to hide God's word in their hearts. Children can work toward awards for learning Bible verses and completing certain tasks designed to make God's word come alive in their hearts and minds.
There are four relationships that can define a thriving Christian life. It is these four relationships that we have built our Preschool ministry around.

Preschool Children are taught that God made them, He loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. |
A Healthy Relationship with Family |
We will teach the importance of family and the child's role as a member of a family. Parents are also provided with monthly guides that will help parents to partner to teach and reinforce the lessons taught at church. |
An Active Relationship with the Church |
We will teach the importance of service and fellowship by allowing children to serve in their classrooms in age appropriate ways. |
A Missional Relationship with the World |
We will teach the children to tell others about Jesus and invite their friends to church. |
