Middle School Ministry (7-8th Grade)

Guiding middle school students into a thriving relationship with Christ.

siGnal Middle school ministry @ Southcliff is the place where your student is not simply going to be “entertained,”…but encountered by God. siGnal stands for “students interfacing God now and life”. To interface something is to make contact or to establish a clear line of communication. We desire this to happen for your student in those critical two years of middle school, yet we want the connection they may make now to influence them throughout their entire life. Our desire is to give your student an environment where they can interact with the Scriptures, ask the tough questions and be a part of a community that works through them.

On Sunday Mornings, we offer Grow Groups. This is a time for your student to study about Character and the life of Christ. The morning usually begins with some delicious breakfast type foods. We have a short time for re-connection, worship and announcements. From there students go into small groups where they will experience a community time that includes bible teaching, prayer, encouragement and faithful adult teachers who want nothing but the best for your student. During the second service your student has the opportunity to worship in a service that includes singing, praying, giving, preaching/teaching, and community.

siGnal is our main middle school service that happens on Wednesday evenings. This time begins with re-connection (a time for your student to re-connect with their peers via snacks, games and table talk). From there, we will join the high school students for an opening game, skit or video. From there we will transition to a time of worship. The middle school students will then head to the “siGnal zone” for their message time. We hope to answer three specific questions in this time: Why God? Why me? and So what? Small groups will end the evening for your student. This is a time where your student and a small group leader will talk further about the message and figure out how it applies to the life of a middle schooler.

Middle school students are going through many changes (cognitive, physical, and emotional) and our desire is to walk with you (parents) as you guide your students to follow God daily.

There are four relationships that can define a thriving Christian life. It is these four relationships that we have built our children's ministry around.

A Growing Relationship with God

We will consistently offer students Scriptural interaction, growth and application opportunities.

A Healthy Relationship with Family

We will provide opportunities for students to interact with their families and partner with parents as their students transition through life stages.

An Active Relationship with the Church
We will not only talk about serving others but provide students the opportunity to actually make it a reality leading to a personal responsibility.
A Missional Relationship with the World
We will give students yearly opportunities to engage the local community, state and world around them in a biblical example.
