College Ministry
Guiding college students into a thriving relationship with Christ.
Southcliff College Ministry is designed to encourage and give direction to students in their relationship with Christ. Time spent in college is critical for students as they develop their personal beliefs and make important decisions affecting their lives. The college ministry desires to help students grow as mature believers who put into practice the principles found in the Bible (James 1:22).
College students are invited to attend two services on Sunday. At 9:20 am students attend Worship in the sanctuary. At 11:00 am the college students meet for Radius in the Annex. Radius includes a time of worship and Biblical teaching specifically geared towards college students.
Two activities are offered to college students during the week. Student led Grow Groups meet during the week to encourage each other on a personal level. Wednesday nights are college serve night. Students can volunteer to help with youth, children, nursery, and other ministries in the church.
There are four relationships that can define a thriving Christian life. The college ministry seeks to aid students in all four relational areas based on learning what the Bible says about each.
A Growing Relationship with God |
College students participate in worship and grow groups to encourage each other in their relationship with God. Personal and corporate interaction with God is important for all students. |
A Healthy Relationship with Family |
Even as a college student, relationships with family members are important. As students transition out of a household and look towards beginning their own, the Bible should set the foundation for all family relationships. |
An Active Relationship with the Church |
College students stay active in the church by attending weekly worship services and volunteering to help out in other ministries on Wednesday nights. |
A Missional Relationship with the World |
College students have several opportunities to impact the world. Grow groups take part in regular community outreach and several mission trips are offered during the year. |
