Where did you graduate from high school?

I graduated high school from Chipley High School in Chipley, FL. Go Tigers!!

How long have you been on staff at Southcliff?

I have been serving on staff at Southcliff Baptist Church since April 2012.

Tell us about your family.

I have been married to the most beautiful woman in the world, Lauren, since October 10, 2009. We have an adorable precious three year old named Lyla. They bring constant joy and adventure to my life! We also have a 7 year old Beagle named Bronx. He brings intermittent joy!

What was your first car?

My first car was a 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier coupe. It was a great car. We could fit at least 8 people for beach trips. The only problem is it leaked gas so I smelled like a 7-eleven everywhere I went.

What is something that you are known for?

I have a thirst for learning things. I am always reading; consequently, I am known as “that guy who knows a bunch of random facts.”

What is a book that you have read recently that you would recommend to others?

Does the Bible count? If so, that one is obvious. If we are talking about other books, I would recommend everyone read “It Came From Within” by Andy Stanley. The book addresses 4 spiritual heart diseases which impact our relationships with God and people.

What was your favorite band/singer when you were a teenager?

This is hard… can I just make a short list? Switchfoot, O.C. Supertones, Three Doors Down, Creed, Live, Green Day, Oasis, The Wallflowers, Audio Adrenaline, DC Talk (Toby Mac), SonicFlood, P.O.D.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

This depends on what season it is… in the Fall my perfect Saturday involves eating finger foods and watching college football (Go Noles). On Saturdays when it's not football season I like to include some if not all of the following: watching the lastest blockbuster (I love movies), woodworking (yeah, you read that right), play time with my daughter, dinner with my wife, and last but not least, every great Saturday involves a nap.

Where can you find the best Mexican food in Fort Worth?

If you are asking my wife, then she would say Pappasitos for the fajitas. Myself, I like Mexico Real located on McCart. Try the Chili Relleno, enchiladas, or a burrito--they are all very tasty.  For tacos, I like local taco trucks; the one closest to my house is called Tacolote, and is delicious. As a bonus, it's cheap. It helps to speak Spanish.
