Bolaven Farms, Laos

Drink Coffee—Join in God’s Work

We are excited to partner with Bolaven Farms in Laos, a Southeast Asian country that is closed to traditional missions.  Begun by a former Laotian refugee, now a Baptist entrepreneur, this coffee farm is used to share the love and message of our Lord.  Families from all over the country move there to learn organic farming.   Our friends Dave and Tan live in Laos, running a coffee house in the town and spreading good news.

By drinking our coffee, you can be a part of this innovative ministry.  Donations collected at our coffee bar go to support Bolaven Farms in this 21st century missions endeavor.    You are encouraged to watch the videos at www.bolavenfarms.com/go to see for yourself what is happening in Laos.

Bridges for Christ International, Serbia

Showing Christ to Children in Serbia

Bridges for Christ International exists to provide the children and youth of Serbia an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel of Christ. “Bridges” assists national workers who share the gospel through day clubs, summer camps, and church planting.  This organization also leads volunteer teams from the U.S. to assist Serbian churches.

Serbia has a population of nearly 7.5 million, but has less than 4000 evangelical believers.

This year, Southcliff is seeking to send a team of college students who will spend their summer working at the CEF sports camp in Mrcajevci, Serbia which is led by Pastor Darko Adamek.

DFW Burmese Ministry

The DFW Burmese Ministry is made up of a variety of smaller congregations who speak Burmese.  They are made up of a variety of groups: Chin, Karen, Kachin, Shan, etc.  They worship together on Sundays at Southcliff at 11:00 AM in the Annex gym.

Global Media Outreach

Each day 2 million people seek information about God online.

Global Media Outreach is a ministry using cutting-edge communication technologies to reach people for Christ around the globe.  Last year over 15 million people placed their faith in Christ and had access to discipleship materials via GMO web sites.

One visit to www.greatcommission2020.com will leave you spellbound while you watch live as people all over the world meet Jesus for the first time.

Individuals are needed to become “online missionaries.”

Online missionaries respond to over 3 million emails each year from people seeking more information about Jesus—including people from Communist, Muslim, and other “closed” countries.

People from a variety of situations (parents with young children, senior adults, those with disabilities, etc.) can lead people to Christ via email in under-evangelized countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Kazakhstan, and Iran.

You can be a part of one of the greatest evangelistic movements in world
history—without leaving your home!

Iglesia Bautista El Mesias - Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic

Southcliff has entered a partnership with Pastor Narciso Montero and The Messiah Baptist Church in the Dominican Republic.

This church is reaching families for Christ on the eastern side of this city of over 3 million residents.  They began with of group of 16 members in 2010 and already have over 60 active members.  They have also planted another church in the city.

Our church provides financial support for Pastor Narciso as he leads a church in an under-resourced nation.

Will you continue to pray for Pastor Narciso?

International Mission Board

Our Mission is to Make Disciples of all Peoples

The IMB is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest evangelical denomination.  By working together with thousands of other Baptist churches, we can make a world-wide impact as we seek to fulfill the commission of Christ to “go into all of the world.”

IMB.org offers up-to-date news and information about missionary work around the world.   TheTask.org provides education and opportunities for youth and college students.

Those at Southcliff, who feel led to become involved in missions, either short term or long term, can find guidance from the IMB.  A portion of Southcliff’s weekly offerings go to support the 5,000+ missionaries who serve with the International Mission Board.

If you would like to find out how you can serve visiting missionary families, email share@southcliff.com.

New Life African Church

The New Life African Church is made up primarily of refugees from Burundi, Rwanda, and Congo.  They worship in the Swahili language—which many immigrants from Africa speak.

They worship Sundays at Southcliff at 1:00 PM in the Uplink Area of the Annex.

Southern Cross Project

Bringing God’s Word to the People of China

One in five people on this planet lives in China.  The Southern Cross Project reaches people who have little or no chance to hear the gospel. It is done through the distribution of packets (including tracts, a Jesus film DVD, and a Bible) to tourists from China.  They are distributed in locations outside of the country where thousands of Chinese tourists visit. Southern Cross is a year round ministry with distribution in major tourist cities in the East.

You can be a part of a revival in China!  We are planning two Southern Cross trips in 2013.  Our high school students (including our girls choir) will travel to Taiwan in July, and plans are underway for an adult trip to Hong Kong and Macau in November. Pray about your involvement in one of these trips.

YWAM Hong Kong

Youth With a Mission:  Hong Kong Base

Youth With a Mission was begun by a 20 year-old student in 1956.  Today, there are over 18,000 YWAM Christian workers serving around the world.  Each YWAM (pronounced Why-Wham) base is independently led.  The staff is made up of men and women from a variety of nationalities.

Hong Kong has been the West's gateway into China since it's inception.  Even though Hong Kong is now controlled by the Peoples' Republic of China, it continues to retain its laws and freedoms.

YWAM Hong Kong has ministries throughout the city and regularly leads groups across East Asia.  It is also an educational facility which trains students from all around the world.  Please pray for this staff who live simply and who are making a difference in one of the most influential cities on the planet.
