Dr. Carroll Marr and his wife Tanya came to Southcliff in November of 1998. They were childhood sweethearts in their hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and have been married for 38 years. Tanya is a transplant dietician at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, and Carroll has served as pastor at churches in Louisiana and now at Southcliff. They are both very active, love biking and hiking, and are regulars at their gym.

They have 3 sons: Michael, his wife,Tressa live in Rockwall, Texas with their 3 children. Michael is a financial planner and Tressa is a high school teacher.  Daniel, his wife, Christina, and their 3 chidren, live in Fort Worth. Daniel is attending seminary here.  Their youngest son, John and his wife, Jordan, live in Fort Worth. John is a surgical resident and Jordan is a social worker.

What is something you are known for? 

I am known for my ability to tell a good story.

What was your first car?

A truck!

What is a book you have recently read and would recommend to others?

Well, I'm reading Moving Mountains by John Eldredge ... again. 

Where is the best place to get Mexican food in this area?

Mariano's Mexican Cuisine in Arlington. They have the best chile rellenos I have ever eaten.
